Areas that keep calling your attention
Maybe it is your upper back after desk work, legs after a long flight, or a shoulder that never seems to fully let go. Naming what you notice gives the session a useful place to begin.
Private therapeutic care in Lihue
Focused, firm bodywork for the places that have been asking for more attention. Every session starts with a real conversation, then follows your comfort, your priorities, and the pressure that feels useful to you.

Focused, not forceful
Deep tissue massage can be a good fit when a few areas have felt persistently tight, tired, or overworked. You may be carrying long travel days in your shoulders, feeling the pull of a demanding job through your back, or simply ready for more focused attention than a lighter massage provides. The goal is not to push through discomfort for its own sake. It is to work deliberately, with enough pressure and time to be useful.
Mylene Lotz has cared for Kauai clients since 1994. Her style is known for firm, attentive hands-on work, but an appointment is never a fixed routine. You can name the areas you want addressed, explain what has been feeling difficult, and change direction as the session unfolds. That ongoing conversation is part of what makes focused work feel personal instead of generic.

Maybe it is your upper back after desk work, legs after a long flight, or a shoulder that never seems to fully let go. Naming what you notice gives the session a useful place to begin.
Some people simply feel better with more deliberate pressure. You can ask for firm work without having to endure pressure that makes you brace or hold your breath.
A longer session can create room to return to the places that need attention, rather than rushing from one concern to the next.
Session pricing
Every appointment is private and shaped around your comfort. If you are unsure, start with the clearest priority you have and choose a length that gives it room.
A focused session for one or two priority areas.
More room for several areas and a less rushed pace.
An unhurried session for broader, attentive bodywork.

A private setting makes a difference
Natural Healing Massage is a private, home-based practice in Lihue, not a busy spa floor. The studio has a private entrance, waiting room, bathroom, and parking. That quieter pace gives you time to arrive, talk through what you need, and leave without feeling hurried out the door.
Before the session, it helps to mention recent injuries, surgeries, health changes, areas you would like avoided, and the kind of pressure you usually prefer. You do not need technical language. “My neck has been stiff after travel” or “I want firm work, but not on my calves” is useful information. During the appointment, you can ask for a different position, more or less pressure, or more time in one place.
Focused massage is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. If you have a new injury, recent surgery, or symptoms that make you unsure whether massage is appropriate, check with your health professional first. When massage is a good fit, honest communication helps make the session more comfortable and more worthwhile.
Deep tissue and Hilot
Deep tissue massage is a direct choice when you want firm, targeted work. Traditional Filipino Hilot is another option for clients drawn to a more individualized Filipino bodywork tradition. Neither requires you to have everything figured out before you arrive. If you are deciding between them, begin with what you want to feel different by the end of the appointment, then share that with Mylene.

Frequently asked questions
Focused work can feel intense, but it should stay manageable. Sharp, alarming, or breath-holding discomfort is a reason to speak up, not something you need to push through. Mylene can adjust the pressure, pace, or approach.
A 60-minute session can work well for one or two clear priorities. Consider 90 minutes when you want more time for several areas, and 120 minutes when you want the most spacious appointment. There is no prize for choosing more time than you need.
Let Mylene know what has been bothering you, your preferred pressure, recent injuries or surgeries, health changes, and any area you would like avoided. Plain language is enough to begin the conversation.
